It’s now September and with the changing month we are going to get another set of games for simply being PlayStation Plus members. If you don’t have PS Plus at this point, I am a bit surprised considering you need it to play online.
We have already covered the Xbox Live Games with Gold for September 2021; you can find it by pressing here if you want to.
PS Plus usually takes the crown when it comes to the game line ups that are offered to their subscribers. Last month with PS Plus was a bit underwhelming with its line-up, with games like Tennis World Tour 2 being available for grabs. Not much to say about that line-up really, other than you have until the 6th of September to pick up the games from August.
But this month's line up looks to be a bit better compared to what we got previously, and I am going to jump straight into it.
Hitman 2 (PS4):
The first game that is going to be available for PS Plus subscribers this month is Hitman 2. A game that I personally absolutely love.
Hitman 2 puts you once again in control of Agent 47 in the world of assassination, hunting a number of elusive targets through a number of diverse locations across the world. You get the opportunity to hunt your targets in locations like vast and dense rainforests or make your way through sprawling cities and towns to locate your target.
This game also features my favourite level in the whole franchise: The Finish Line. A racing themed level in Miami that offers a massive variety of really fun assassination methods and locations that are just brilliant all around.
Not only is there the regular story mode where you get to experience a lot of different locations and hunt particular targets, but there is also a Sniper Assassin mode and a co-op play mode where you can enjoy the experience with all of your friends.
Hitman 2 is a brilliant game that I really recommend trying especially if you love a good action game. It is also normally valued at £55 on the PlayStation store, so you will be saving quite a lot with PS Plus this month.
Predator: Hunting Grounds (PS4):
The second game that will be available for free for PS Plus subscribers is Predator: Hunting Grounds.
An online multiplayer shooter that either places you as one of four crew members in a fireteam, or as the Predator hunting them down. The four-man team must complete a set number of challenges before the Predator kills them. The Predator, as stated, is tasked with killing the team before complete the challenges and escape.
You get to experience both alien and human weapons in this game, using them to your advantage within the battlefield. You’ll be hunted, or hunting, in a wide rainforest and small villages in order to complete the tasks you have.
This isn’t a game I know a whole lot about, but the concept seems rather simple. I instantly think of Dead by Daylight when I see a game concept like this. Obviously, they are quite a bit different but I am sure that Predator: Hunting Grounds will be an entertaining game to get a hold of this month.
This game is normally also worth £34.99 on the PlayStation store and requires online play in order to play it.
Overcooked: All You Can Eat! (PS5):
The final game that is available with PS Plus for September is Overcooked: All You Can Eat! And is a PS5 exclusive, so PS4 users will have to sit out on this one. Though I don’t think that this game is worth worrying over.
Overcooked: All You Can Eat is a remastered edition of the Overcooked game series and includes both the original Overcooked! And Overcooked! 2, along with any other content that is available with the original games.
This game offers you hundreds of different levels and increasingly more difficult kitchens that are now able to be played online and with your friends. This includes both old and new levels. It has also received a visual and performance upgrade over the original games so that it looks better overall.
There’s a campaign mode, online multiplayer modes and a survival mode that you can experience.
I don’t personally know a thing about this game, I’ve never seen or played it before so there isn’t much more that I can say about it. The game is normally worth around £30.49 on the PlayStation Store and will be free with PlayStation Plus for September.
Overall:
Overall, for this month with PlayStation Plus, it’s a bit of a mix for me. Hitman 2 is an absolutely brilliant game that is worth giving a go. Predator: Hunting Grounds seems like an interesting game that follows a recognisable concept so I will be giving that a try this month. And Overcooked: All You Can Eat! Is a game I doubt I will be trying any time soon, mostly because I don’t have a PS5 yet.
With PS Plus September 2021 you will be saving around £120.49. The PlayStation Plus free games for this month will be available from the 6th of September. And that is all for now.
