The newest lineup of Xbox Games with Gold has been revealed. With two new games available this month for Xbox Gold members to get their hands on. Xbox Games with Gold has fallen a bit down the ladder, with Xbox Game Pass the focus of this day.
And with Xbox 360 games no longer being offered with Xbox Games with Gold, there is less to be excited about. It’s also your last chance to grab the Xbox Games with Gold in October 2022, those being Windbound and Bomber Crew. And just like the last month, Xbox Games with Gold November 2022 proves to be disappointing.
Praetorians HD Remaster
The first of the two Xbox Games with Gold is Praetorians HD Remaster. Developed by Torus Games and published by Kalypso Media.
What is Praetorians HD Remaster? Praetorians is a real-time strategy game based on the emergence of the Roman Empire.
You command your battalion of soldiers in over 20 campaign missions on the battlefields of Egypt, the combat theatres of Gaul and Rome itself. Being able to take control of three different armies through the campaign and utilise a variety of abilities. Throughout, you’ll learn the strengths and weaknesses of your soldiers and figure out the best strategies and combinations to emerge victorious.
Normally I would include a segment on how the game has been perceived since release. But the Xbox version only has one review on Metacritic, so rather I will go off the PC version. The game received mixed reviews, with a 56 Metascore and a 7.3 user score. The game received criticism for its old gameplay and repetition.
Praetorians HD Remaster is normally worth £16.74 on the Xbox store.
Dead End Job
The second and last of the November Xbox Games with Gold is Dead End Job. Developed by Ant Workshop and published by Headup Games and released in October 2019.
A twin-stick shooter in procedurally generated levels where you must face a series of ghosts. You will fight through a range of haunted offices, restaurants and other everyday buildings and areas to free them from ghouls. You can play either alone or with your friends in this twin-stick shooter.
The Xbox version of this game has a Metascore of 76. And no user score at the time of writing this. The game is praised for its wacky enemies and gameplay but criticised for its repetitiveness.
Dead End Job is normally worth £14.24 on the Xbox store.
Overall, with Games with Gold, you will be saving around £31 this month.
